What We Do
The Feinstein School administers and coordinates all professional education programs at Rhode Island College. We offer a range of programs, including early childhood, pre-K-12, counseling, school psychology, youth development and health and wellness.

We prepare Professional Educators and Community and Public Health Promotion, Counseling and School Psychology, Wellness and Exercise Science, and Youth Development professionals.
The Feinstein School of Education and Human Development (FSEHD), so named because of a generous gift from education philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein in 1997, is responsible for designing, developing and implementing programs that prepare professional personnel for educator and counseling roles in schools and social service agencies that serve the needs of the diverse communities of Rhode Island.

Scholarships are awarded to students with an interest in pursuing a career in education, stemming from one of our outstanding programs within the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development. Application Deadline is April 10, 2024.

The Feinstein School offers a variety of certificates of graduate study, advanced degrees and professional certifications.
Post-Baccalaureate Programs and Admission
Post-baccalaureate programs consist of the second bachelor's degree program and the RITE program.
Teacher Education Scholarships
The Feinstein School recognizes superior academic achievement through the awarding of scholarships. Through the generosity of alumni, the School is able to provide scholarships to our students annually.
